Step 1 - Time to prep your surface! Dilute 1 part TSP substitute with 1 part water. Use a scrubbing pad to clean the tile floor with this mixture. Then remove any residue of the cleaning mixture by rinsing the floor with warm water.

The biggest interior design secret has been revealed! This is the topic on which EVERYONE has been enquiring (and gushing!)... You may obtain a similar effect without the effort of taking up your current floor or the costly expense of genuine tiles by painting your tile flooring that just looks expensive.

Step 2 - Prime your tile floor 1-2-3 times using a foam roller and the grout lines using a paintbrush. After applying the primer over the entire tile floor, allow it to dry for about 2 hours. Then apply a second coat. Allow drying.

Step 3 - Apply 2 coats over the entire tile floor design using a foam roller and paintbrush. Allow each coat to dry.

Step 4 - Create 2 mixes. Mix the French Blue acrylic paint with a paint extender and then mix the Midnight Blue acrylic paint with a paint extender.

Step 6 -  Paint the tile stencil design with a variety of pressures. This will create the effect of a damaged and glazed tile.

Step 7-  Paint the 3/8" and 1/2" stencil brushes with the Midnight Blue acrylic paint mix and wipe the excess paint away using a paper towel. When painting the smaller stencil design parts, use these smaller stencil brushes for more control.

Step 8 - Apply a new Renaissance Tile Stencil to the next floor tile and fix it in place. Steps 5–7 are repeated once again. For each floor tile, use a different tile stencil. You have the option of using a random or predefined order. Rep till the entire tile floor has been stenciled.

Step 9 - When you're through stencilling the portions near a wall, use painter's tape to protect and mask off the wall or baseboard. Use painter's tape to fix your tile stencil in the center of the tile toward the wall. Push the stencil into the corner between the floor and the wall with your free hand. To touch up any spots, use a little paintbrush.

Step 10 - Now is the time to seal your lovely blue tile floor! Apply a water-based polyurethane top coat to the whole floor. Use a nap roller to apply the first layer and let it dry for a few hours. Allow for a second coat to dry overnight.

conclusion

There you have it! Your beautiful new blue tile floor. Not only is this project a fraction of the cost of hiring professionals, but it's also a great way to show your creative side.  These easy steps can be followed by anyone, regardless of your painting experience. Have fun with it and enjoy your new floor!
